Marketing - Internship (Part Time)

Job Description: Marketing - Internship

Woodland Plastics Corporation is seeking an energetic, savvy, curious Marketing Intern to assist the President in developing a sustainable marketing program.  Duties and activities include maintenance of marketing database, research and development of new relationships with potential customers, online market research, E-blast campaigns, and development of New Media marketing to develop and enhance the Woodland identity.

The internship will run January 6th 2014 thru May 16th. This internship offers a flexible daytime schedule, approximately 24 hours, with the possibility for continued work and advancement.

Job Duties, Functions, Responsibilities
- Assist with market research on product and market opportunities
- Assist with developing marketing strategies for promoting services
- Assist with developing a marketing campaign utilizing company promotional items
- Assist with development and management of marketing database
- Assist with the maintenance of Woodland Plastics website and social media
- Assist with the development of techniques to measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts
- Assist with other tasks as assigned by the President.

Qualification Requirements
- Intern must be a self-starter and able to work well without constant direction
- Intern must possess strong oral and written communication skills
- Intern must possess excellent internet research skills
- Intern must possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Intern must be proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Intern should possess previous marketing skills
- Intern should be a Communications, or Marketing major with a minimum GPA of 2.50

Skills to be Developed
-Learn about practical marketing strategies
-Understanding of the effectiveness of the marketing department program
-Improve oral and written communication skills
-Improve Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Skills
-Improved problem solving and team building skills

Compensation
$12/hour
