Flash Arm Assembly for Photography Industry
 Designed for use by professional photographers, this flash arm assembly was manufactured and assembled for convenience, ease of use, and durability. Woodland Plastics was recognized by a customer with both thermoplastic and thermoset molding capabilities to mold theflash arm.
Using both a thermoset polyester BMC 400 material, along with an engineered-thermoplastic acetal, the flash arm assembly is molded from two, 2-Cavity tools in a 150-ton thermoset injection molding press. Post-mold, the part is deflashed and then assembled with twenty (20), ¼” threaded inserts.
