Phenolics

Phenolics are synthetic thermosetting resins, obtained by the reaction of phenols with simple baldheads and used to make molded products. Phenolics are often added with fillers, such as wood flour, soot, asbestos, graphite, rock dust, glass dust or textile fibers to produce a Phenolic molding compound. Phenolic molding compounds can be formulated to provide a balance of high thermal resistance, dimensional stability, chemical resistance, strength, and electrical properties. Phenolics are used in the Automotive, Electrical, Appliance, and Lighting industries.
